Il libro
Arman is a young orphan living in the middle of war-torn Kabul. He is
ill-treated by the family he lives with, but finds solace in his best
friend Jamal and his love of reading. After a tragic occurrence, he is
forced to leave Kabul and make an extraordinary journey over land and
water in an attempt to reach the safety of London. With Jamal and his
two brothers, Zain and Wali, he encounters pain, love and significant
danger as he moves from country to country. Through his reading and his
many encounters along the way, he learns to live with the past, the
present and the future, as well as the biggest tragedy of all; the loss
of a loved one.
A Book Reader's Journey is a story of love, hate, friendship and, most of all, hope, that will take you through towns, cities and countries by Arman’s side as he battles to overcome social, mental and physical hardships on his road to self-discovery and safety.

RECENSIONE
On this precarious balance he finds comfort in his best friend Jamal and in his love of reading.
The boy thus becomes a sort of Oliver Twist, who fights against the mad law that, in the name
of rights, cuts off ties and separates people dearest loved ones. In his war for survival and to carve out his place in the world, he is forced leave Kabul and travel
to unknown lands and waters, like a young man Ulysses, in an attempt to reach London, but the
protagonist, however, will not be able against the extreme consequences of an adverse destiny,
he meets pain, love and danger while moving from one country to another, together with Jamal
and his brothers Zain and Wali.
